Want your people to love your workplace design or policies? Include them in the process of creating them!

There’s a powerful behavioral phenomenon called the IKEA Effect—the tendency for people to place higher value on things they’ve helped create. (Yes, even when that coffee table is a little wobbly.)

The same principle applies at work.

When employees are invited to co-create a workplace strategy, policy, or new way of working, they feel more than heard—they see themselves in the outcome. That leads to stronger buy-in, greater pride, and of course, better solutions.

Change doesn't need to be a surprise—it can be something you build together.
