Workplace Strategy - Enterprise Community Partners

Developing a Future of Work Strategy for a Mission-Driven Organization

Enterprise Community Partners embarked on a Future of Work initiative to create a more intentional, connected, and consistent way of working across its geographically dispersed organization. While hybrid work was successful, teams had adopted different practices, resulting in some uneven employee experiences, underutilized office space, and uncertainty around how, when, and where work should take place.

The organization wanted to preserve the flexibility employees valued while strengthening collaboration, culture, and connection to its mission. To achieve this, CRUX partnered with Enterprise to define its Future of Work strategy by first understanding how work was actually being performed across the organization.

Through our proprietary Workplace Experience platform, leadership interviews, employee engagement, and workplace analytics, we identified work patterns, collaboration behaviors, and the differing needs of teams. These insights informed recommendations for hybrid work practices, workplace design principles, space planning, team adjacencies, and change management.

We delivered a people-centered workplace strategy that enabled Enterprise to make informed decisions about its Mid-Atlantic headquarters and surrounding office portfolio, while establishing a framework to guide future workplace decisions across the broader organization. The recommendations provided a clear roadmap for optimizing office space, strengthening collaboration, supporting hybrid work, and creating workplaces that better support employees while advancing the organization's mission.

TESTIMONIAL

"David, Lauren, and the CRUX Workplace team were instrumental in the development of our Future of Work program at Enterprise. They helped us stay focused on aligning workplace strategy with employee experience and organizational needs, while avoiding the dreaded “one-size-fits-all” approach. They brought the knowledge, tools, creativity, and collaborative spirit needed to move the work forward thoughtfully and practically. I am grateful for their partnership and would gladly recommend them to others navigating similar workplace transformation efforts." - Brian Dean, Sr. Director, Real Estate and Workplace
